Yogibo Max makes more sense when you want one long cushion to change between upright lounging and a stretched-out position. A rounded foam seat versus an elongated bead cushion
MovieSac uses shredded Durafoam and measures approximately four feet across. Standard Yogibo Max uses EPS microbeads inside stretch covers; Yogibo distinguishes its Premium EPP-filled versions. Check the selected variant because the Max name now covers different materials. The standard replacement cover is listed at 72 by 24 by 24 inches.
A six-foot-long cushion is not equivalent to a six-foot-diameter beanbag. Max can occupy a comparatively narrow strip when laid out, but your legs and the cushion spreading under load still need room. MovieSac creates a broader seat around one central position. For readers who alternate between sitting cross-legged and reclining, deciding which arrangement fits their habits comes before comparing fabric colors.
Maintenance is part of the purchase
Yogibo sells refills because bead-filled products can settle. Lovesac’s foam seat is reshaped through fluffing rather than routine bead replacement. Those are different chores, and neither should be described as maintenance-free. Keep the cover care instructions for the exact fabric; outer-cover washing does not mean the filling or liner can go into the machine.
A spare cover can be a better first accessory than a matching pillow if this will be your daily seat. Consider where the bare insert will sit while the cover dries. In a shared apartment, also decide who is responsible for cleaning and where spare filling would be stored. Small ownership details tend to matter more after the delivery excitement fades.

Pick MovieSac if you want to establish a permanent lounge corner and value a broad choice of cover styles. Pick standard Max if its elongated, reshapeable format is the reason you are buying a beanbag in the first place. If you need a consistently upright seat, compare the smaller Yogibo Lounger or a structured chair as well.
