Your privacy.
What your browser stores
The “Save for later” feature stores article identifiers in your browser’s local storage. This reading list stays on this device. You can remove stories individually or clear this site’s browser data.
Search, article filters, and the beanbag finder run in your browser. Finder answers are not submitted to a server. Beginning the finder again discards its previous answers.
Journal searches and filters can appear in the page address so you can return to the same view. Opening, sharing, or reloading that address sends the requested URL to the hosting service, like any other page request.
Cookies and analytics
This version includes no analytics scripts, advertising pixels, email collection, or affiliate tracking. Fonts and displayed images are served with the website.
Cloudflare provides the website’s hosting, content delivery, DNS, and connection security. Delivering and protecting the site involves processing connection information such as IP addresses, requested URLs, and traffic data. Cloudflare describes its handling of this information in itsprivacy policy.
External websites
Links to manufacturers and research papers open external websites with their own privacy practices. Their content and policies are controlled by those sites.
