Our favorite genuinely giant beanbags

The Cosac 7ft is our best overall XXL beanbag. Its seven-foot diameter gives you the most width in this shortlist, and the complete package makes it a compelling choice for a shared movie corner. Pick the Jaxx Cocoon 6 for a lower lounging surface, or the Lovesac BigOne when a taller shape, upholstery choice and the insert warranty matter more than maximum width.

Every ranked chair here has a published width of six to seven feet: 72 to 84 inches. We selected complete foam-filled seats for US buyers, then compared their dimensions, cover care, package contents and ownership costs. This is a focused shortlist for a room with space to spare. Our Lovesac Dupes guide includes smaller alternatives when price matters more than sheer size.

1. Cosac 7ft: best overall XXL beanbag

Cosac’s size table lists an 84-inch diameter and an approximate weight of 55 pounds. The $399 package includes the Sherpa cover, inner liner and shredded-foam filling. That combination earns it first place here: a genuinely seven-foot seat with the necessary components included, rather than a large cover that still needs filling.

The Cosac is the pick for sprawling together in a den, letting one person stretch across the seat or making the beanbag the main attraction in a movie room. Treat its advertised three-to-four-person capacity as a rough guide. Adults who want independent sitting positions need more room than people who intend to cuddle.

The outer cover is washable, and Cosac lists replacement covers, liners and filling separately. Before ordering, resolve the delivery discrepancy: the product page currently says around four weeks, while the homepage advertises one to three business days. Ask for the estimate for your chosen color and address. If seven feet is excessive, the same range includes a 72-inch, $299 6ft model.

2. Jaxx Cocoon 6: best for low, full-length lounging

Jaxx publishes dimensions of 72 by 72 by 20 inches and a weight of 55 pounds for the Cocoon 6. It can lie flat or be positioned on its side as a seat. Choose it if your idea of an XXL beanbag is a broad surface for stretching out, with enough space around it to change the arrangement.

The Cocoon has a removable, washable cover and a separate liner. Fabric choices include microsuede, velvet and faux fur. Its low profile is a useful distinction from the taller BigOne: in an open room it can leave more of the view across the furniture unobstructed. It also asks you to sit much closer to the floor.

Check the selected fabric’s price and care label rather than treating every version as interchangeable. Mark out the full six-foot square before buying, then open doors and walk around it. A low chair can still block a route, and rearranging a 55-pound bag each time someone crosses the room will soon become tiresome.

3. Lovesac BigOne: best premium option

Lovesac’s size chart puts The BigOne at approximately 72 inches wide, 49 inches high and 95 pounds. It meets the six-foot requirement, but the 7ft Cosac is a foot wider. The BigOne’s appeal is its tall, rounded form and cover system, not a larger diameter than every alternative.

The BigOne in Alpine Swirl Phur was listed at a $780 sale price when checked on September 9, 2026, with the insert and cover included. Compare that complete configuration with other filled chairs; a Lovesac insert-only price leaves upholstery to buy separately. Promotions and fabric choices can change the total.

Lovesac’s lifetime limited warranty applies to the Sac insert; covers have separate terms. That is a meaningful reason to consider the brand for long-term ownership. At approximately 95 pounds, this is also the heaviest chair in our shortlist. Plan its position before unpacking and make sure you have help available when you need to move or reshape it.

Manufacturer specifications

Six feet and seven feet occupy very different rooms

A seven-foot circle is only one foot wider than a six-foot circle, but it has roughly 36% more area. Calculated from those nominal diameters, the circular footprints are about 38.5 and 28.3 square feet. Those figures compare width; they do not measure usable seating area or how far a soft chair spreads under a person.

For a practical room check, mark a seven-by-seven-foot square for the Cosac and a six-by-six-foot square for either smaller pick. Leave the tape down while you use the room. Include space for feet, a side table, opening cupboards and walking past someone already seated. A chair that technically fits can still make the room difficult to use.

Why some big names are missing from this list

Lovesac’s SuperSac is approximately five feet wide, so it belongs in a smaller-size comparison. The Ultimate Sack 6000 listing gives an actual width of 60–68 inches despite its six-foot description. Both may suit your room, but neither meets this article’s 72-inch minimum published width.

Big Joe measures Fuf size names diagonally from the back top corner to the front bottom corner. Its current size chart lists the 6ft Fuf at about 65 inches wide, the 7ft at 62 inches and the 8ft at 68 inches. Use width, depth and height to compare them with round sacks; the model name does not describe an equivalent floor diameter.

What to check before an XXL chair arrives

An expanded foam chair can be much harder to transport than its delivery carton. Measure the doorways, stairs and tight turns on the way to the final room. Follow the maker’s unpacking instructions there, with enough clear floor to assemble the chair and let it expand.

Ask how a return is packed, whether compression equipment is supplied and who pays the shipping. Keep the cover’s laundry instructions with the purchase details, and check whether your washing machine can handle its size. For the two largest-brand options here, our Cosac vs Lovesac comparison goes deeper into dimensions, covers and purchase terms.
