Fatboy Original Nylon is the stronger candidate when a graphic, pillow-shaped beanbag and easier repositioning are the attraction. The decision is less about which brand is more premium and more about the role of the seat.
The indoor Cocoon and Original Nylon are the specific models compared here. Jaxx also sells bead-filled outdoor products, and Fatboy offers other fabrics and sizes. Features from those lines do not automatically carry over. In particular, an indoor product should not become patio furniture solely because its fabric seems easy to wipe.

Compare shape and weight together
Jaxx lists Cocoon 6 at 72 by 72 by 20 inches and 55 pounds, filled with shredded foam. Fatboy’s Original Nylon listing gives approximately 55.1 by 70.9 inches and 16.5 pounds, with refillable EPS beads. One is a broad circular lounge; the other is a large rectangular pillow that can be arranged around the sitter.
The difference in weight matters if you move furniture every weekend or clear the floor for exercise. The wide Cocoon can be a sensible permanent destination but an awkward object to shift repeatedly. Fatboy’s rectangular outline can look simpler against architectural walls or in a colorful studio, though the occupied shape still needs more space than a flat product photograph suggests.
Care is not the same between them
The indoor Cocoon has an inner liner and a removable machine-washable cover. Jaxx also lists a replacement cover specifically for Cocoon 6. Fatboy directs Original Nylon owners toward mild soap and lukewarm water for cleaning, and offers repair guidance and EPS refill options. A cover that wipes clean and a cover that comes off for laundry solve different problems.
For a room where people eat near the seat, think about the kinds of marks you are likely to clean. For a home with limited drying space, washing a very large cover is a logistical choice. Neither approach is automatically easier: the right one is the process you can carry out with the equipment and space you have.
Our decision for two common layouts
Choose Cocoon 6 for a spacious den where the cushion can remain laid out and its width is useful for relaxed floor seating. Choose Original Nylon for a flexible living area where moving and reshaping a lighter seat is part of the plan. If a neat, upright silhouette is essential, compare a structured beanbag model before choosing either.
Compare replacement parts at the same time as the initial item. Confirm the correct size and fabric, and keep care instructions specific to that model. For buyers prioritizing longevity, an obtainable replacement cover or an approved repair can be a more concrete advantage than a general claim that a beanbag is built to last.
