Choose CordaRoy’s when a separate guest bed matters

CordaRoy’s Queen Chenille is the better starting point for a chair that also provides a separate rectangular guest bed. Yogibo Max is the stronger candidate for everyday sitting and reclining without unpacking another component. Choose between those jobs first; a long lounger and a chair with a bed inside solve different room problems.

Our recommendation is based on the manufacturers’ published designs and instructions. We have not compared overnight comfort or measured either chair with someone sitting in it. The right choice also depends on whether your guest is comfortable using a floor-level sleeping surface and whether you can clear the room for it.

What actually changes when you convert each one?

The Queen Chenille contains a shredded-polyfoam bed within its chair cover. CordaRoy’s instructions describe removing that outer cover and unfolding the bed, then folding the bed back into the cover to restore the chair. Yogibo Max changes arrangement as a single bead-filled bag; it does not unpack into a separate queen mattress.

This difference affects the evening and the following morning. With CordaRoy’s, decide where the empty chair cover, guest bedding and nearby furniture will go. With the Max, decide which lounging position you want and what floor area it needs. Neither decision is answered by the word “convertible” alone.

A spare-room chair used as a bed several times a month gives the CordaRoy’s mechanism a clear purpose. If guests arrive once a year and you already own another suitable bed, prioritize the chair you want to sit in every evening. Our Convertible Beanbag Chairs guide compares the broader range of conversion mechanisms.

Plan the room in its evening and morning configurations

CordaRoy’s lists a 48-by-48-inch chair footprint and a 60-by-80-by-10-inch queen bed, with a product weight of 29 pounds. Yogibo’s collection chart gives the Max approximate dimensions of 72 by 24 by 24 inches and a 19-pound weight. Flexible seating changes shape, so leave room beyond those published outlines.

For the Queen, mark the chair area and bed area with different tape colors. Walk between the unfolded outline and the door, open a drawer and find a place for a guest’s bag. The bed gains 12 inches of width and 32 inches of length compared with the stated chair footprint, before adding any walking space.

Check the morning arrangement too. A room that technically fits the bed can still be inconvenient if resetting the chair requires moving a desk, unplugging a monitor or blocking access to the wardrobe. An occasional guest solution should fit the normal household routine, not merely the widest empty patch visible in a photograph.

Which tradeoff is worth making?

The following choices depend on your household rather than an overall comfort score. Use the row that describes what happens most often.

Different covers and fillings mean different upkeep

The Queen Chenille has a polyester outer cover. CordaRoy’s help center specifies cold, gentle washing and low tumble drying for the cover; the filled inner bed is not machine washable. Yogibo describes its indoor fabric as a cotton/spandex blend. Standard Max filling is EPS, while Premium uses EPP, so choose refills for the actual version.

Treat the outer upholstery and sleeping area as separate cleaning tasks. After a visit, make time for guest bedding as well as any chair-cover laundry. A spare decorative cover cannot substitute for protection intended for the unfolded bed. Before adding an accessory, check its compatibility with the Queen model and the purpose you need it to serve.

The Max has its own tradeoff: bead settlement may mean buying compatible refills over time. Avoid budgeting from a claimed replacement interval alone, since use differs between households. Our How to Clean a Beanbag Chair guide explains how to separate cover care from the filling and liner underneath.

What to settle before ordering

Compare the full Queen Chenille chair against a complete standard indoor Max. Cover-only listings, accessories and Premium configurations can distort a quick price comparison. If delivery is tied to a visit, get a date for the selected configuration. Yogibo’s page showed an October 2026 preorder message for the displayed selection when we checked.

Choose CordaRoy’s because the separate bed will earn its space in your home. Choose Yogibo because you want the adaptable lounger every day. If the floor plan is tight, revisit the Beanbag Size Guide before committing: the ability to convert furniture is useful only when there is room to use the converted form.
