Changing between sitting and stretching out
Choose Cosac for curling up, Yogibo for changing positions
Choose the Cosac 5ft if you want a round foam seat for a permanent lounge corner. Choose the Yogibo Max if your priority is rearranging one long bag between sitting and reclining. This comparison concerns the five-foot Cosac and standard indoor Max; larger Cosacs and Yogibo’s Premium version change the purchase.
We would start with Cosac for someone who usually curls up with a book in the same spot. The Max makes more sense when the same seat needs to face the television in the evening and stretch along another wall during the day. These are recommendations from documented construction and shape, not a side-by-side comfort test.

Foam and beads create different ownership jobs
Cosac lists shredded memory foam inside a separate liner, with a removable Sherpa-fleece cover. The package includes all three components. Yogibo’s standard Max uses EPS beads; its Premium Series uses EPP. Yogibo’s FAQ describes the standard indoor cover as a cotton/spandex blend and notes that beads can compress with use.
That distinction matters most when deciding what maintenance you will actually do. For a bead chair, establish a compatible refill route before ordering. For a foam chair, ask how the manufacturer recommends redistributing the filling. A material name cannot tell you which chair will feel firmer under your body or how comfortable either will remain after an hour.
Do not transfer a brand’s claims about one filling to its whole range. A standard Max and a Premium Max are separate configurations to compare at checkout. Our guide to How to Refill a Beanbag explains the questions to ask before buying extra filling, including compatibility and whether the inner bag is designed to be opened.
A five-foot circle and a six-foot lounger use space differently
Cosac’s size table gives the 5ft model a 60-inch diameter and an approximate 30-pound weight. Yogibo’s current collection chart lists the Max at approximately 72 by 24 by 24 inches and 19 pounds. These are unoccupied product measurements, not guaranteed boundaries once someone sits down.
The useful room question is whether you have a broad corner or a long route for reclining. Tape a five-foot circle for the Cosac. For the Max, begin with its long outline, then allow extra space for it to spread as you reshape it. A narrow published width is not permission to wedge a flexible chair tightly between a cabinet and a walkway.
Keep the tape in place during an ordinary evening. Open the cupboard, pass behind another person and reach the reading lamp. Count the space needed by feet and a drink table. The Beanbag Size Guide has a fuller measurement routine if either outline sits close to a doorway.
Match the chair to the way you will use it
Use this decision table after measuring. It translates the two forms into practical priorities rather than adding another specification list.
| Your priority | Start with | The tradeoff |
|---|---|---|
| A dedicated corner for curling up | Cosac 5ft | Reserve a broad area around the round seat. |
| Alternating between sitting and long reclining | Yogibo Max | Leave space for the bag to change shape. |
| Moving the seat regularly | Yogibo Max | Its lower listed weight helps, but the long bag still needs a clear route. |
| Avoiding bead-refill purchases | Cosac 5ft | Foam still needs its own care and redistribution routine. |
These are editorial fit judgments based on the listed forms and materials; personal comfort remains untested.
Wash the cover, and plan for the chair while it dries
Both have washable outer covers. Yogibo’s care page specifies a cold gentle wash and low tumble drying, with the inner bag kept separate. Cosac identifies its zip-off outer cover as machine washable. Follow the actual cover label for either chair rather than assuming every finish tolerates the same cycle.
A washable cover is useful only if your laundry setup can handle it. Check the capacity and instructions for your machine, decide where the protected insert will sit during washing, and allow the cover to dry fully before putting it back. For frequent laundry, compare the availability and delivered cost of an exact replacement cover.
Check the selected delivery date before choosing
On October 1, 2026, Cosac’s product page still displayed an approximately four-week delivery notice alongside faster wording in its footer. Yogibo’s Max page displayed an October preorder notice for the shown selection. Confirm your chosen size, filling and color rather than relying on a general shipping banner.
For an established reading corner, our preference is Cosac when the round footprint works. For frequent changes of position and arrangement, we would choose the Max. Before paying, compare complete chairs with covers included, delivery to your address and the practical cost of a return. Beanbag Delivery and Returns gives you a checklist for that last conversation with the seller.
